Historic Districts inside the Spruce Park Neighborhood
The Spruce Park Neighborhood includes two “historic districts;” two defined areas within the broader Neighborhood that are recognized for their historic significance.
1. The Spruce Park National Historic District includes homes built between 1923 and 1945. In 1982 this district was listed by the National Park Service on the National Register of properties worthy of preservation. This district is also listed on New Mexico’s Register of Cultural Properties.

2. The Sigma Chi Residential Historic District includes homes built between 1939 and 1955. This district was listed on New Mexico’s Register of Cultural Properties in 2007. Here is the original application for the register.
